Individual Excellence in Student Support Award

Established in 2025, the Individual Excellence in Student Support Award recognizes an individual who goes above and beyond to foster student success, well-being, and belonging on campus. The recipient demonstrates exceptional dedication to supporting students through guidance, advocacy, and care — creating an environment where every student feels valued, empowered, and equipped to thrive academically and personally.

Criteria for Selection:

A successful nominee must meet the following criteria:

• Be in a full time professional position with a minimum of one full year in their current position by the time nomination occurs

• Be currently employed in a functional area of student housing.

• From a SWACUHO member institution.

• Have contributed significantly to excellence in student support, as defined above, within the past three years
