Date: The workshop is held every year in October/November and usually spans a two-day format

Designed for: New professionals and entry-level positions

SWACUHO-U provides a coach/cohort-based professional development experience for professionals with three years or less full-time experience and for graduate students who are pursuing a career in Higher Education. Participants engage with peers and experienced successful colleagues to gain skills and competencies needed to be successful as they grow in the profession. Each year the SWACUHO Graduate & Entry Level Committee selects focus topics, connected with the ACUHO-I Competencies, intended to support new professional success.

A SWACUHO-U Coach is a mid-level or higher professional who can offer their time, dedication, and investment in the development and growth of new housing professionals throughout the SWACUHO-U experience. Cohort coaches create content and present on a designated topic based off the ACUHO-I Competencies and offer their insight to SWACUHO-U participants. Coaches are also assigned to a cohort of SWACUHO-U participants, made up of 4-6 new housing professionals, where guidance for conducive discussions and mentorship are provided.
